Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a method of physical exfoliation using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently eliminate vellus hair (peach fuzz) and rid the skin of any buildup of dead skin calls making your skin look dull and uneven.

Benefits:

  • removes soft facial hair that traps dirt and oils
  • provides deeper penetration of skincare products
  • smoother skin
  • flawless makeup application
  • reduces the appearance of acne scars
  • removes dead skin cells that block pores
  • decreases the look of fine lines
  • works on all skin skin types (accept active acne)
  • instant results - no downtime!

After the treatment your skin will be highly sensitive to sun exposure and may look a bit pink so suncream of SPF 30 or higher is recommended to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation. Dermaplaning will not cause hair to grow back thicker or darker. Can be performed every 2-4 weeks.

The treatment also includes an enzyme mask to help improve circulation, tone, texture and smoothness of the skin. SPF will be applied at the end of the treatment so you're ready for the day!

Aftercare...

Your skin may be slightly pink, and this will fade very quickly.

Your skin will be more vulnerable to irritation and the sun for the next 3 days. It is very important that you try to avoid sun exposure. If you must be in the sun, wear minimum SPF 30 and a hat.

Use a gentle cleanser and warm water to wash your face. Your skin will be more sensitive to your normal skincare products. Avoid scrubs, and any product containing alphahydroxy or betahydroxy acids, Retin A, or retinol for at least 3 days.

Avoid picking, rubbing, or scratching your face.

Avoid extreme heat and chlorine for 3 days.

You may apply hydrating or soothing serums, such as hyaluronic acid as their efficacy will be increased.

Wait 1 week for any facial waxing.
